    The energy companies pay for the grant under a govenment initiative. It is in order that the energy companies reduce their carbon emissions and therefore the UK's overall carbon footprint.

    If you're over 70 and a home owner, or rent privately, you are eligible for a 100% grant for home insulation, be it loft or cavity wall.

    Funded by the utility companies, this is a government initiative aimed at reducing the country's carbon footprint.
